About Us

Personal statement

I was born and lived my whole life in Moscow, Russia. Due to political events that started in spring 2022 I had to reevaluate my views. I have never been a political person, but in times of a conflict I couldn’t stay neutral as I believe doing nothing is the same as doing harm.
I do not support war in any way. And our government doesn’t support piece. I was not free to speak out. I couldn’t say what I really think, I couldn’t do what I thought was right.
There was no other way for me than to move. So I did.
It is hard to move a business. But i am still trying and the process is long and rough.
I was so proud of saying that I’m from Russia, as the fashion industry was just starting to build up and I had so many plans and hopes. I still have my plans but they do not alling with  any kind of violence.
I am very sad that I had to leave my homeland and i am still adjusting to the new reality, even though I understand that I am suffering the least. Anyway my opinion is clear- I am against war.

I was writing this text above in 2022 in spring. Today is 2024, there is a new war in middle east, where major part of family lives today. I don’t have anything more to add to the text above, maybe just that these events are devastating and i have no idea how to adjust and how to really change things.
General VI is for Generalova Victoria – creator and head designer of the brand.

The brand established in 2019 as a wearable experiment about garments that are bold yet functional with a standout deconstructed vibe as a major part of the brands DNA.
The manufacturing process is followed by precised tailoring with a distinctive approach that lead to reinterpritation of shapes and symmetries.
Collection pieces are often weaved and influenced by various cultures and ethnics, which gives them vaguely familiar sense in an innovative shape.
The blend of futuristic and elelgant sillhouettes build up the signature style of the brand.

About the designer

Generalova Victoria is a self-taught fashion designer. Her path started in 2019 with the first drop of avant garde outerwear presented at Pop-up Moscow held by MBFW and noticed by LVMH representative which lead to the brand’s first runway show in 2020 at Futurum Moscow.

Originally from Russia, Victoria has always been creatively curious, exploring fine art, architecture, color theory, and music. This diverse artistic background laid the foundation for a sudden yet profound passion for fashion design.

Without formal education in fashion, she embarked on a self-taught journey, mastering sewing and pattern making independently.

The brand’s identity is defined by an avant-garde, bold, feminine, and sexy aesthetic, focusing on quality and craft. High-quality materials, precise tailoring, and unique design elements are at the core of every piece. The designs feature distinctive silhouettes, combining deconstructed femininity with durability, resulting in complex yet wearable pieces. Signature techniques include hand quilting of outerwear with unique patterns, multi-layered techniques, and the use of deadstock fabrics. Recurring themes include asymmetry, complex patterns, and a blend of traditional garments like the Chupa and Qipao with contemporary interpretations. The latest collection infuses pirate motifs with deconstructed elements to create a dramatic yet modern vibe.

Guided by an imaginative vision, the Designer continually pushes the boundaries of traditional design, always striving for open mind and creativity.
