CIVILIAN PRE-COLLECTION

Civilian – capsule that explores vulnerability and protection.

Delicate, translucent layers exist alongside dense, sculptural outer forms — garments that function as a kind of architecture around the body. Protection here does not erase sensitivity; fragility remains visible rather than concealed.

Silhouettes are built around endurance rather than confrontation. The body is wrapped, reinforced, and held — not to dominate space, but to preserve itself within it. Protection becomes less about resistance and more about conscious survival.

The collection reflects a shift in process as well as perspective. Following larger bodies of work, Civilian focuses on concentration — fewer pieces, developed with greater precision, structural clarity, and material intention.

Hand-worked textiles, recovered natural fur, and constructed surfaces emphasize tactility and process. Each piece is developed, patterned, and assembled manually, with attention to form, weight, and balance.
Reclaimed materials, inherited forms, and domestic objects such as the restored dresser reflect this act of transformation — a return to what already exists, where the familiar is reworked into something protective, contemporary, and newly essential.

‘Civilian’ is for clothing as a refuge — a quiet response to chaos, where preservation itself becomes a form of strength.
